For 25 years, Creative Capital has empowered visionary artists to create bold, original work in visual arts, performing arts, film, and literature, and to build sustainable practices. Selected through a democratic open call, Creative Capital Awards provide individual artists with unrestricted projects grants up to $50,000, professional services, and community-building opportunities to create new works that push artistic boundaries and inspire social change.

This year, Creative Capital is expanding its grants and services with the launch of the State of the Art Prize to recognize and support one artist from every U.S. state and inhabited territory, with an unrestricted artist grant of $10,000. State of the Art Prize recipients will also have access to a suite of online professional development resources, including the Creative Capital Curriculum and Artist Labs, Artist Opportunities, and online community building tools.

Together, with partners across all regions of the U.S., we aim to raise $12 million to fund these critical programs. Your support ensures artists nationwide—whether pioneering new forms of expression, engaging urgent social issues, or reimagining traditional disciplines—can thrive.
